Latisse At Park Avenue Plastic Surgery

We are excited about carrying Latisse at Park Avenue Plastic Surgery. Here is some important information regarding Latisse. Latisse is approved by the FDA to grow eyelashes.

What is Latisse? Latisse solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (inadequate or not enough eyelashes), making them longer thicker, and darker.

How does it work? It works by prolonging the active growth phase of hair.

How soon will I see results? The onset is gradual. Most people see improvements by 2 months.

Can anyone use Latisse?

You should not use Latisse if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Latisse. Also, if you have eye pressure problems (elevated intraocular pressure) you should speak to an eye care specialist before starting Latisse.

If you are currently taking medication for eye pressure problems or have a risk for glaucoma you should speak to an eye specialist before using Latisse.

Are there any side effects of Latisse? The most common side effects after using Latisse are eye itching or eye redness. This was seen in about 4% of patients in the clinical trials. Another side effect which may be seen is darkening of the skin around the eye where Latisse is applied.

If you are interested in learning more about Latisse, please call my office or come in for a complimentary consult.
